Outlook Mail Recovery Software

With the invention of Internet, emails since then have become the most creative innovation of the 21st century, which has revolutionized the mode of sending or receiving letters, messages. To manage emails Microsoft designed Microsoft Outlook™ in union with Microsoft Exchange™ server. Microsoft Outlook is a standalone as well as a groupware email client which fetches emails from the enterprise email server management application i.e. Microsoft Exchange.
However, MS-Outlook can work in both IMO (Internet Mail Only i.e. standalone email client) and Workgroup modes (To fetch emails from MS-Exchange). IMO mode helps to download, send emails from your own registered domains or POP mail servers.

In the short duration the usage of emails have increased considerably along with the number of problems with emails and email clients for e.g. spam, malware and phishing techniques are some of the most popular dangers that lurk out with emails. However, with increase in the popularity of emails and MS-Windows the usage of MS-Outlook increased radically and elevated the numbers of causes, which corrupt MS-Outlook email archives (both .pst and .ost).

Some of the most common .pst or .ost corruption causes reported on various UseNet’s, knowledge base and web logs (blog) related to Microsoft Outlook support.

Corruption due to 2 GB .pst file size limit in Outlook 2000.

  • Corruption of .pst file when it is used over local network (LAN).
  • Accidentally deleted messages, contacts, journals, and notes.
  • Corruption inside the .pst file header or pointer.
  • Corruption caused due to compacting of .pst file.
  • Incomplete recoveries of .pst file by data recovery software due to fragmentation.
  • "0x80040119" and "Unknown error

Due to these reasons, MS-Outlook may refuse access to the emails, which may prove disastrous for user who has been preserving all his records for years that includes contacts, notes, schedules, journals, events and most importantly emails.

The first thing which comes to mind is to use scanpst.exe an Inbox repair tool which comes packaged with MS-Office suite. However, scanpst has a standard way of performing analytics on a .pst file, which includes rearranging blocks containing classification numbers with respect to CRC. Scanpst fails when there is a severe corruption inside a .pst file, which includes complete file CRC error and many other causes.

Disk Doctors produced Outlook Mail Recovery (.pst) software because existing applications are ineffective “placeboware” that do not do what they claim.

  • Disk Doctors Outlook Mail Recovery (.pst) is a complete .pst repair tool, which supports recovery of emails, notes, tasks, calendar, journal, and contacts. This application supports repair of .pst file from MS-Outlook 2000, XP, 2003 and 2007 versions.
  • Recovers mail messages in plain text, RTF and HTML. Recovers attachments, including the documents and images attached to messages and embedded in HTML bodies.
  • Recovers embedded objects, such as Excel Worksheets, Word documents, etc
  • Recovers .pst files larger then 2 GB.
  • It can recover password protected .pst files, even if you do not have the password. Both compressible encryption and high encryption (or best encryptions) are supported.

Launched version of the software also supports repair from large .pst files as well, as per the documents published by Microsoft the maximum size a .pst file can reach is up to 20 GB.
